Finding healthier foods without chemicals can be time consuming, so I have listed some for you below and where to get them, to help you get started. I hope you find these additional healthier options helpful.

Try to buy foods which are organic and without additives as much as possible. But don’t despair if you can’t obtain or afford these. We have to work within our circumstances and with what we can get. Any changes, however small, are better than none. If you have to make a choice between organic vegetables or organic meat, then choose vegetables because mass produced vegetables have far more harmful chemicals used on them.

Before you set up regular orders, find the answers to the following questions:-

  1. How and in what conditions are the animals reared?
  2. What are the animals fed all year round? Grass and hay is best and preferably not grain.
  3. Are vegetables grown on a small scale without pesticides?
  4. How is the soil looked after, do they rotate crops?
