Ciora Alpin Sheepskin Slippers Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I always think that comfort when relaxing is really important for a person’s mental and physical well-being.  If you also want to be warm and cosy through winter, then these Ciora Alpin Sheepskin Slippers fit the bill.

Not only are they supremely comfortable to wear, but will also keep your feet toasty warm, in a modern style, which looks really good on your feet!

They are hand-made from soft suede with ecologically tanned 100% pure sheepskin wool lining, which Ciora describe as being: non-itchy, antibacterial, hypoallergenic and anti-fungal. Ciora also state that their products are podiatrist approved for diabetics and those at risk of pressure sores, because the wool fibres reduce shear and friction against the skin and provide support and redistribute pressure.

They claim to only use tanning and finishing agents which meet strict EU Directives on Environmental Protection, free from harmful Chromium VI, which makes their products safe and beneficial for the most sensitive or fragile skin, even a newborn’s.

The pull-on tab at the back makes them easy to get on and the thick, non-slip EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) sole is flexible and durable. These unisex slippers come in men’s and women’s sizes and at just £44.99 are competitively priced for a luxury sheepskin product.

They arrive beautifully presented in a large, strong box which makes them ideal for presents.

What Buyers Did Not Like

Two people didn’t think the slippers gave the support they needed.

Overall the vast majority of purchasers were extremely satisfied. On Amazon 96% out of 163 reviews gave 4 or 5 stars, which is impressive.

My Verdict

Having always had poor circulation, I feel the cold most acutely (see My History), so it is important for me to be warm through the colder months. I am now on my second pair of Ciora slippers and can honestly say they are the warmest I have ever had. I love the thick, sheepskin wool lining which really does feel like luxury on my feet!

I personally feel I cannot survive the winter without these slippers. In fact, living in Yorkshire, I wear them throughout most of the year! They can feel quite tight on first wearing, but they ‘give’ very quickly as the soft natural suede relaxes. Some people say they needed a different size to their normal shoe size, but I have them in my normal shoe size and they are a good fit. I highly recommend them to anyone and especially to those who, like me, suffer with cold feet.
